Born in 1946 Shelby, Montana. Jack Horner grew up with a reading problem his teachers didn't recognize. After being unable to complete his bachelor's degree, he flunked out of college 7 times before his disability was finally recognized. Dr. Horner continued his studies and eventually gained an honorary doctorate in 1986. Today, he is one of the world's most recognized dinosaur explorers.
Dr. Horner has followed his passion all of his life. This passion has led to some of modern paleontology's greatest discoveries. Dr. Horner discovered the very first dinosaur egg clutch in the Western Hemisphere. The duckbill nests and fossils he found showed dinosaurs cared for their young. Dr. Horner's discovery revolutionized the accepted view of dinosaurs.
Dr. Horner's discoveries have gained him international acclaim, 2 dinosaurs named after him, advisor roles on both Jurassic Park and The Lost World, as well as being the inspiration for the character Alan Grant!
